Relation Lists and DefinitionsIn addition, there are various kinds of computer programs that have been oriented by RST:
Text Generation Research: (this is on programmed authorship) Several efforts have benefited from the orientation of RST, some following the first published work much more closely than others. To learn about text generation and find a demonstration of text generation on line on the net, go here:

Text Summarization: there is research that employs RST concepts, and there may be some application programs.
Teaching "rhetoric:" (There are several distinct uses of this term. For this one, think of it as the theory of Freshman English Composition courses.) There is at least one programmed text analyst built using RST as a guide.
