Construction Grammar Bibliography
(Note: The items on this list are, for the most part, works that individual authors suggested as relevant to a constructional approach to language in general. Some of the papers/books are concerned primarily with theoretical and representational issues, others concentrate more on descriptive problems that appear to be good candidates for constructional analysis.)

| Constructional Approaches to Language |
|
John Benjamins is starting a new book series, Constructional Approaches to Language (CAL) |
| edited by Mirjam Fried and Jan-Ola Östman (Princeton University, USA/University of Helsinki, Finland) |
| The publications in the book series will be devoted to various lines of research concerned with the notion "construction" and its importance for the understanding, analysis, description, and representation of language. The series brings together research conducted within different constructional models and makes them available to scholars and students working in this and other, related fields. |
| In order to adequately present research within this developing field, the book series is committed to innovative scholarly work. The topics will range from descriptions of grammatical phenomena in different languages to theoretical issues concerning language acquisition, language change, and language use. |
| The foundation of constructional research is provided by the model known as Construction Grammar and its ‘companion' lexical theory, Frame Semantics (as developed by Charles J. Fillmore and his colleagues). The book series will publish studies in which Construction Grammar is developed in new directions and extended through alternative approaches. Such approaches include cognitive linguistics, conceptual semantics, interaction and discourse, as well as typologically motivated alternatives, with implications both for constructional theories and for their applications in related fields such as communication studies, computational linguistics, AI, neurology, psychology, sociology, and anthropology. |
| This peer reviewed series will include monographs, thematic collections of articles, and introductory textbooks in the relevant areas. |
